As part of the Boyle Arts Festival 2026, Ardcarne Garden Centre is displaying the new series Nature and Nurture within the Ardcarne Garden Café from the 16th to the 31st of July.

Nature and Nurture is a series of giclée prints on the topic of how we occupy and relate to our environment. The works combine visual art (both physical print-making and digital composition) with snippets of flash fiction and poetry. For this series, Brigit composed dried flowers and leaves from her garden onto gelli plates (a gelatin printing surface), applying paint and pulling prints in successive layers. The results were scanned and composited with texts, reworked and refined until a finished piece emerged.
